You can view the information about both the primary and backup Routing Engines, fans, temperatures, resources, and power. The IP Top Sources, IP Top Destinations, and the Interface Most Sessions are useful widgets to monitor session statistics. Every firewall has a finite number of sessions it can hold in memory, so, keeping track of sessions is important for administrators. Related to the resource utilization is the traffic flowing through the Junos OS device. The File Usage widget helps administrators understand where the file usage is on the device. One concern of any system is the storage availability. On the Resource Utilization widget, the bar graph displays the percentage of utilization with varying colors to help understand how critical the utilization is to that resource- green being good, orange being warning, and red being critical. The Resource Utilization and File Usage widgets are quick ways to verify the utilization of resources on the device. An important part of managing any system is using resources efficiently. You can create user-defined tabs on the dashboard to organize widgets to have multiple widgets on the screen simultaneously. To use a widget, drag it down from the widget tray to the dashboard screen. Security-which displays only the supported security related widgets. Devices-which displays only the supported device related widgets. Applications-which displays only the supported application related widgets. All Widgets-which displays all the supported widgets. You can choose any one of the categories to view widgets on your device. You can refresh the display of the dashboard page by clicking the refresh icon at the top right hand corner above the widget pain. You can click the + icon to add a separate dashboard and give it a name. Each widget pane acts as a separate frame. The widget tray can be minimized to give more room on the dashboard, or can be open to list them and transfer them to the dashboard. Junos J-Web includes a dashboard that incorporates widgets to quickly view and monitor specific resources and traffic on the Junos device. In addition to the Junos J-Web and CLI, a number of other monitoring tools exist, such as Junos Space, Juniper Advanced Threat Prevention Appliance or Juniper ATP Cloud, SNMP, hardware LEDs, and front panel displays or LCDs. Junos CLI includes several show and monitor commands that facilitate system monitoring. Junos CLI is a powerful tool for monitoring the Junos device. The UI includes many workspaces to help monitor and analyze system services and resources. Junos J-Web UI is a great way to monitor and manage a Junos device.
