Well, it’s been a long and quite productive year, even if it doesn’t quite seem that way, yet. youre not even playing against other people your just killing mobs all day.As 2019 Ends, 2020 Will Bring Forth Something Fun! – December 31st, 2019 if you only have everyone playing as the savior of the world for fat loots then its just a kiddie game and mindnumbingly pointless to play. ![]() mmorpgs need both dogooders and villains so they remain fun and are challenging. this is how games are meant to be and how the grandfather of the genre UO was before they ruined becuase of whiny casuals. so for example the gank crew that kills you 4on1 will rack up alot of negative karma and then when you kill one of them youll get a big reward becuase they have a high bounty. they just need a karma system that balances it like a bounty system. all mmorpgs should have real world types of things like theft, murder, etc. i only like sandbox games with a karma system that allows for criminal acts or playing a villain. Its been hard to find mmorpgs that arent watered down theme park games. hopefully ill like this or im going to try Legends of Aria, Saga of Lucimia, Project Gorgon, The Exiled, Crowfall and Camelot Unchained. ultima was ruined by the stupid devs and shadowbane no longer exists. ive never played a moba so i cant relate but i played mmorpgs which had an extremely high skill ceiling such as ultima online(before trammel kiddie nerf) and shadowbane. he was saying mobas require more skill than albion. some review i watched said what uy said about the game having a very low skill ceiling which i dont like but im hoping ill like it anyway. As more people enter a zone, the faster resources respawn, so having more gathers in a red zone, will increase regen rates again making it better for everyone. Limiting 2v2 or 3v3 max to red zones, will not only encourage more pking, it will also encourage more people to gather in these zones, as its less likely they will be swarmed by 20 people. If your in a 10man+ zerg, its almost no risk vs huge rewards as you just target everyone and get crap tons of stuff. The Risk vs reward is high risk, low reward when solo/duo pking. Also the amount of times ive killed people in 1v1, for a 2nd person to come along and fight me, then more come along and just loot everything. Zerg vs Zergs should be limited to black zones, where Red zones should be 2v2 or 3v3 AT MOST, with Anti PJing mechanics inplace to stop people streamline fighting one after another. Like 2v2 or 3v3 max pj timers implimented and more.Īs a solo pker flagged in the red zone, the amount of times, i have gone 1v1 ganked, got a kill, however just at the end of the fight a 2nd person shows up thinking he is a hero and attacks me, i kill him, then either a 3rd person shows up and i kill them as well, or by this time, the kill marker on the map has alerted the wannabe hero white knights to the location and im swarmed by 10+ people all wanting free loot (Just think of the seaguls all shouting "mine mine mine mine" when these people turn up). They really should make zones more honorable combat orianted. The second a group has 5+ people, you have no chance of survival. However there is a huge problem with zerging still and its kinda bullcrap. I solo pvp in red zones ALL the time, either in offence or defence. ![]()
